[RS] Sherpa Program

The [RS] Rogue Soldiers Sherpa Program is a free, community-driven program that connects players with experienced [RS] members who can help them learn, improve, and get more out of the games they play.

Whether you're completely new to a game, trying to understand a difficult system, learning a new role, or looking to improve skills you already have, our Sherpas are here to help.

Sherpas are experienced community members who volunteer their time and knowledge to help other players.

What Is an [RS] Sherpa?

A Sherpa is a member of the [RS] community who has experience with a particular game and is willing to help other players learn it.

Depending on the game and the player's needs, a Sherpa may:

• Explain basic game mechanics.
• Help a new player get started.
• Teach infantry, vehicle, survival, or tactical fundamentals.
• Explain classes, kits, roles, equipment, or progression systems.
• Help players understand maps, objectives, and game modes.
• Demonstrate strategies and techniques in-game.
• Help experienced players improve specific areas of their gameplay.
• Point players toward useful [RS] guides and community resources.

The goal is not to play the game for you. The goal is to give you the knowledge and experience needed to become more comfortable and capable on your own.

Who Can Use the Sherpa Program?

You do not need to be an expert, a clan member, or a highly experienced player to ask for help.

The program is intended for players at different experience levels, including:

• Brand-new players learning a game for the first time.
• Players returning after a long break.
• Players moving into a new role or playstyle.
• Members struggling with a particular mechanic or system.
• Experienced players looking to refine specific skills.
• Members trying to better understand how [RS] approaches teamwork and organized gameplay.

You only need to be willing to learn, communicate, and work with the Sherpa helping you.

Supported Games

Sherpa availability depends on the games currently supported by [RS] and whether knowledgeable volunteers are available for that title.

Support may also be available for other games played within the [RS] community.

If the game you need help with is not listed, you can still ask. If someone in the community has the necessary experience and is available to help, we will do our best to connect you.

What Can Sherpas Help With?

Sherpa sessions are not limited to beginners. The subject of a session can be as broad or specific as necessary.

Combat Fundamentals

Game Mechanics & Systems

Sherpas can help explain systems that may not be obvious when starting a game.

Depending on the title, this could include:

• Classes and roles.
• Progression systems.
• Inventory management.
• Building and crafting.
• Logistics.
• Resource management.
• Spawn systems.
• Objectives and scoring.
• Server-specific mechanics.

Advanced Skills

Experienced players can also request help with more focused areas.

Examples may include:

• Improving efficiency in a particular role.
• Advanced positioning.
• Leadership and squad coordination.
• Vehicle tactics.
• Advanced survival strategies.
• Game-specific techniques.
• Improving communication and decision-making.

Learning the [RS] Community

Sherpas can also help newer members become more comfortable within the [RS] community.

This may include helping you understand:

• Where to find players for a particular game.
• How game channels and voice channels are organized.
• Where to find relevant wiki articles and guides.
• How to participate in community events.
• How [RS] game servers operate.
• Where to go when you need additional support.

If you're new to both a game and the community, don't hesitate to ask questions about either.

Sherpa sessions are only one part of the learning resources available through [RS].

You do not need to purchase a session, subscribe to anything, or donate to [RS] to receive Sherpa assistance.

Availability is based on the volunteers currently available for the requested game and subject.

How Sherpa Sessions Work

Sherpa assistance does not need to follow one rigid format.

Depending on what you want to learn, a session might involve:

1. Discussing what you want help with.
2. Joining an appropriate Discord voice channel.
3. Meeting in-game when hands-on instruction would be useful.
4. Demonstrating the mechanic, role, or strategy.
5. Letting you practice it while the Sherpa provides feedback.
6. Answering additional questions as they come up.

Some questions may only require a quick explanation. Others may benefit from playing together for an extended period.

What Should I Put in My Request?

Giving us useful information makes it easier to connect you with the right Sherpa.

When requesting help, include:

• The game you need help with.
• What you want to learn.
• Your approximate experience level.
• Any specific role, mechanic, mission, or system involved.
• Your general availability.

You do not need to know exactly what your problem is. If you're simply overwhelmed by a game and don't know where to begin, say so.

Sherpa Availability

Sherpas are volunteers, not on-demand employees.

A Sherpa may not always be immediately available for every game, time zone, or subject.

When requesting assistance:

• Be patient while someone is located.
• Be flexible with scheduling when possible.
• Respect the volunteer's time.
• Let the Sherpa know if you can no longer attend an arranged session.

If we do not currently have someone available for your request, staff may still be able to point you toward another useful resource.

What Sherpas Are Not

The Sherpa Program is intended for teaching and community support. It is not a boosting or account-progression service.

Sherpas are not expected to:

• Play on your account for you.
• Complete progression on your behalf.
• Guarantee wins, ranks, achievements, or rewards.
• Provide cheats, exploits, or prohibited advantages.
• Carry someone indefinitely instead of teaching them.
• Be available immediately or at all hours.

The purpose of the program is to help you become a better-informed and more capable player.

How to Get Started

To request a Sherpa:

1. Join the [RS] Discord community.
2. Go to #contact-support.
3. Open a support ticket.
4. Explain that you are requesting help from the Sherpa Team.
5. Tell us which game you need help with and what you would like to learn.

Staff can then route the request to an appropriate Sherpa or game-specific Sherpa Team.
